Toronto’s metropolitan area offers numerous unique seasonal events that you may enjoy, and Alair Homes has gathered some of these events together for you.

Black-Owned Holiday Market

The Black-Owned Holiday Market is the place to go on December 8 if you still need to make a few holiday purchases. Many black-owned businesses will assemble at Exhibition Place between noon and 9 p.m., and this provides you with an excellent opportunity to shop with friends and family. All are invited to attend and enjoy food, drinks and entertainment throughout the event. Proceeds support a children’s charitable organization.

All Is Calm, All Is Bright

Trinity-St. Paul’s United Church and Centre for Faith is presenting All Is Calm, All Is Bright in remembrance of World War I’s memorable armistice that occurred on Christmas Eve in 1914. While troops were immersed in a bitter, bloody war at the time, both factions spontaneously opted for peace over the holiday. The armistice is known for camaraderie, joy, peace and festive songs, and this event brings these to life through service and music. All Is Calm, All Is Bright starts at 7:30 p.m. In addition to memorializing this historic event, the service also supports a local food bank. Canned food donations will be accepted at the door.

12 Beers of Christmas Party

The holiday season is a time to gather together and create great memories with friends and family, and the 12 Beers of Christmas Party on December 22 gives you the ideal environment to do so. Arrive at the Gladstone Hotel at 6 p.m. in your favorite ugly Christmas sweater. You will be treated to samples of 12 beers, and you can enjoy dancing and karaoke. Additional beer purchases are available through several breweries that will be in attendance. Advance ticket purchases are recommended because this event has sold out in the past.
