2. Color Contrasts in Light and Dark

Layered shades of white and beige is a hot decorating style. Those light colors on walls, upholstery, tablecloths and area rugs create a backdrop ideal for photographs, prints, knickknacks, throw pillows, wreaths and baskets featuring seasonal red, amber, orange and brown. Designer Traci Zeller is touting dark, even black, backdrops for those fall-colored accessories, and the effect is just as fabulous. 3. Pillows and Throws

4. Reclaimed Wood
