Since the success of your project relies heavily on strong management, we are extremely selective and hire only the best project managers. Our project managers receive extensive and ongoing training on a weekly and monthly basis. The success of our business is built on the strength of our project managers and we are proud of the highly skilled team we have assembled at Alair Homes Winnipeg.
Cost per square foot is a very poor way to gauge the cost of completing your custom home because it is only relevant if you are comparing the exact same home plan and fitted with the exact same fixtures. Alair Homes Winnipeg will not quote on a per square foot basis because we understand that if you are going to achieve total satisfaction from building your own custom home, you deserve to understand the true cost of your project that matches your goals and specifications. This requires a thorough budgeting process with a knowledgeable construction professional with past experience in your type of project. This process does not take long and is the surest way to give you the confidence you need to understand what the total cost will be before the project starts.
Control™ that is the best of both worlds! We establish fixed prices from our trade partners and suppliers that create cost certainty plus you receive 100% transparency and control via an overall cost plus model. Please watch our video above explaining Client Control™ and also download our report outlining the benefits of this revolutionary method.
Each of our projects is as unique and diverse as our clients, which is exciting for us and important to our clients. However, if we have a project under construction, and we have the permission of the client we would love to show you a project in action! This is a great way to assess a contractor as you get to see things from the inside out. For Alair Homes Winnipeg, this is also an opportunity to show what makes our approach so unique and what makes Alair such a different kind of contractor.
Norbert WegnerWe worked with Curtis and Sharayah Moffat of Alair Homes to do an extensive reno of our 20 year old home which included gutting the kitchen and putting in all new cabinets, an island and a much larger window/door unit to the backyard. 3 bathrooms were gutted with all new vanities, fixtures, toilets and tubs. We also added a full wall cabinet and counter unit in the rear entrance/laundry room. In the family room we put in a custom desk & entertainment cabinet and re-did the fireplace. The whole process was very transparent with no surprises and we’re very pleased with the finished product. They emphasized the design and selection process up front. They introduced us to designer Lisa Clark who came up with a great concept. Well worth the investment to hire a designer. A small expense in the big picture but it greatly enhanced the final product. The entire design and selections were done up front so we knew exactly what our costs and the schedule would be before signing the build contract. There were only very minor surprises during the build and the schedule was exactly as promised (10 wks). The trades they recommended were top notch with high quality results. Curtis and Sharayah were even pickier than we were so the end result was excellent. No worries about corners being cut.We highly recommend them for any renos or new builds.
Spoke to Chris at Alair homes. He took time to listen to what I truly needed to make my home work for my family. He was very honest and gave me great advice.
Bob and Vivian Gustafson
We would describe Curtis as a very professional, skilled, young man. He is organized, timely and respectful of property or concerns that arise on the job. He has a wonderful loyal crew who appear to be equally dedicated to their profession. It is always a pleasure to work with Curtis and his crew and as indicated by our repeat work with him, he has always met our expectations. Regardless of the job, big or small, we have been very satisfied with the outcomes.
Lyle and Anna Silverman
Curtis was recommended by our next-door neighbour, and after meeting Curtis we knew Curtis could get the job done! While young, we were amazed at his knowledge and experience that made him a true craftsman. The job was completed on time, in a very efficient manner, helped by the cleanliness in the surrounding areas. Also, during the installation, not a single pane of glass was broken. If we were ever to need a project completed in the future we have no doubt that Curtis would be our man.
