Alair Red Deer is Looking for an Experienced Carpenter and Site Supervisor to Join our Growing Team

Responsibilities and Duties
- Carpentry tasks. Tasks will be project related, and tailored to the applicant’s skills. Some typical tasks are:
- Framing and back-framing in new homes and renovations
- Selective demolition
- Site clean up and organization. Alair prides itself on a tidy, healthy work space.
- Site safety upkeep (e.g: safety railing set up)
- Miscellaneous tasks that fall in between other trade scopes
- Safety Program. COR equivalent safety documentation for the individual as well as holding trades accountable to Alair safety requirements.
- Quality control checks. On site walkthroughs of project with Alair checklists to ensure quality and code compliance of work complete
- Liaison to Alair Project Manager on project schedule, trade scope accuracy and overall project health on site.
- Vet trade and client requests to identify out of scope items
- Warranty and maintenance items for past clients as per the Alair Warranty program.
- Liaison to the project client. Deliver high levels of client satisfaction.
- Ability to represent Alair in a professional and respectful manner
Qualifications and Skills
You will be asked to provide examples and references on the following points. Wages will be based on the applicant’s experience.
- Residential construction experience is an asset. Will train and apprentice the right applicant.
- Proven experience developing client and colleague relationships.
- Self motivated with a strong work ethic.
- Critical thinking and problem solving skills.
- Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
- MSFT Teams and Sharepoint experience is an asset
- Builds and contributes to a team culture and community environment
- Superior verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills in order to communicate with all levels of the organization
- Energetic and positive attitude
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work independently with instruction
