Big Elf Run 2018
Get off the couch and bring a little activity into your holiday celebrations. Join the Big Elf Run 2018 on December 15. The race starts at Lumberman’s Arch Concession in Vancouver and takes you through Stanley Park. The event includes a 10-kilometer run-walk, a 5-kilometer run-walk and a Wee Elf Run. Be ready to run or walk at 11:30 a.m. You can also enjoy dancing, music, food, drink, costumes and more. Proceeds support the Cannuck Place Children’s Hospice.
Because He Came to Us
At the Because He Came to Us service at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre in Vancouver, you and your family can explore the meaning of the holiday season from a new perspective. Several services are held on December 15 and 16, and all are invited to attend. The service incorporates humor, music, special effects and other elements to entertain you and uplift your spirit.
Laughing All the Way!
Laughing All the Way! is a comedy show unlike any other, and it will certainly brighten your season. During the show, Bone Hampton, Leland Klassen and Dan Taylor will entertain you while you enjoy food and drinks. The show runs at the Northview Community Church in Abbotsford on December 13 through December 16.
Songs, Strings & Steps Presents “An Irish Christmas”
The spirit of the season comes to life through song and dance at An Irish Christmas. This festive show runs at the Gateway Christian Church in Abbotsford on December 14 and 15, and it features decorations and costumes, music, holiday carols, dancing and fiddlers. During the show, the Abbotsford Youth Orchestra, The Alumni Project, the Steel School of the Irish and others will perform. An Irish Christmas is the perfect show for you to enjoy with the whole family and all of your friends.
NYE 2019 Waterfront Gala Ball
The Waterfront Gala Ball is one of the most extravagant New Year’s Eve parties in town. Wearing your best formal attire, head to the Fairmont Waterford on December 31 at 9 p.m. You will join together with hundreds of partygoers and enjoy music, food and drinks across several gorgeous ballrooms. From the ballrooms, you can enjoy a beautiful view of a huge fireworks display nearby.
