Pancakes with Santa Toonie and Toy Event
On December 8 at 9 a.m., head to the Okanagan Mission Community Hall for a pancake breakfast unlike any other. This is a benefit event that is now in its fifth year, and it supports the local community in various ways. Pancakes are provided by Mission Lions, and special crafts activities for the kids are available through Mission Girl Guides. Tickets must be purchased in advance, and you are encouraged to bring a toy donation to further benefit the community.
Enchanted Forest Family Day
Another festive event that will fill you with holiday spirit is the Enchanted Forest Family Day at Camp Dunlop. This is a special outdoor event that starts at 1 p.m. on December 8, and it is perfect for your entire family. Events include a scavenger hunt, Christmas-themed arts and crafts, face painting and marshmallows and cocoa around a bonfire. There is also an enchanted path that is available for you to stroll down at your leisure. You can also purchase fresh tree boughs on-site. Proceeds benefit Thrive Out of School Care.
Christmas Caliente
Your holiday season can sizzle when you dance the night away at the Christmas Caliente Latin Party. You can enjoy hot Latin music while you dance the Merengue, Salsa and others. This party will feature a full dance floor with other festive partygoers, exceptional drinks and even a visit from Santa. This event is held on December 22 at 9 p.m. at the Okanagan Mission Community Hall.
New Year’s Dance with Live Band REX
If you are looking for an exciting way to spend New Year’s Eve, the New Year’s Dance with Live Band REX may be the ideal way to ring in the new year. The party starts on December 31 at 8:30 p.m., and it runs until after midnight. Make plans to bring friends to this Mission Hall event, and you can share pizza and champagne when you are not dancing to the latest hits performed live by the band. This is a popular party that has sold out in previous years, so purchase tickets soon to lock in your attendance at this fun event.
