As fall approaches, we are incredibly lucky to see some of the last harvests of fresh local food at our amazing farmer markets. Though these farmer markets often extend throughout the year, now is the time to take advantage of the best home-grown treats. Here is a list of some of the best farmers markets in the Bay of Quinte region.

1.Downtown Belleville Farmers Market

This is the oldest farmers market in the region and attracts some of the best vendors. The freshest fruits and veggies are accompanied by maple syrup, honey, delicious baked goods and obviously locally created jewelry and crafts. The market is a buzz on crisp Saturday mornings but can be experienced in a more intimate setting on Tuesdays and Thursdays as well. This market is a must see in the area and can’t be beat for variety of incredible finds.

Coupled with the kindness and local county charm, you may just find your arms full of tasty treats and interesting crafts before heading back to the car. Not to mention, some amazing wine!
