It’s finally summer in Winnipeg and with the beautiful warm weather comes the ever pressing decision of how to best take advantage of the brief sunny days ahead.

Although heading to the beach or to the cabin is an obvious first choice for how to spend summer weekends, we wanted to give you a glimpse into the neighbourhood of Wolseley if you’re planning on staying in the city and enjoying all that Winnipeg has to offer. It’s a great destination if you have a free afternoon and want to explore a new area.

Wolseley is nestled in the central area of Winnipeg and one of the best parts of exploring this beautiful, tree-filled neighbourhood are the huge, old homes lining each street. Wolseley is home to hundreds of well-maintained and preserved houses from the early twentieth century. Enjoy the neighbourhood by taking a walk up and down the streets and enjoying the eclectic mix of old and new, along with the many beautiful gardens that often extend to the boulevard. Plus, you’ll find plenty of shade from the huge Wolseley elms that line each street.
