More and more families are converting their homes to smart homes by having devices and systems installed that can be controlled using their mobile devices. This technology allows users to control many of their home’s functions wherever they are, whether they are at home, at work, or even on vacation.

This trend is here to stay. In fact, 45% of today’s renovation projects now include the installation of a mobile device-controlled component. Security systems, entertainment systems, thermostats, and lighting are among the most popular upgrades. These systems are designed to make homes safer, more comfortable, and more energy efficient.

Homeowners who have chosen to make a smart upgrade report being more satisfied with their renovation projects than those who installed traditional systems. For example, 73% of homeowners who opted for smart entertainment centers reported being very satisfied with their project. This is compared to only 43% of those who chose a non-smart option.
