Koinonia Christian school boasts a low student to teacher ratio and smaller than average admission numbers, currently at approximately 230 students. Ecole Camille J Lerouge School

Ecole Camille J Lerouge School is a separate school in Red Deer and part of the Red Deer Catholic Regional Division No. 39 school district. The school provides education from preschool to grade 9 and is publicly funded. Students here are called to grow spiritually, physically, emotionally and intellectually and enjoy classroom experiences, prayer and other religious teachings. The school’s ratings remain about average at 5.0 in the 2014 school year and have fallen slightly from the previous year’s rating of 6.5. Ecole Camille J Lerouge School ranked 598 out of 813 in the 2013 and 2014 school year and 234 out of 543 schools average over the past five years.

River Glen

River Glen is another competent candidate for many families considering their children’s public education. The school provides classes for students in grades K-12. This is the only public elementary school within the city limits. River Glen ranked slightly below average in the 2013 and 2014 school year at 655 out of 813 schools. The 2014 academic performance ratings were slightly below average at 4.3, but stronger ratings were seen in 2012 when the school measured in at 6.4.
