This renovation project transformed a family-owned home while preserving its historical elements. Completed in two phases to accommodate the clients living on-site, Phase 1 involved gutting the basement, removing asbestos-containing materials, upgrading mechanical and electrical systems, adding spray foam insulation, and finishing the space. Phase 2 included constructing a rock retaining wall with approvals from municipal, fisheries, First Nations, and environmental authorities, plus adding a rear covered deck, garage, new roofline, and updated interior and exterior finishes. The home now exceeds current energy codes with all-new mechanical, electrical, insulation, and drywall systems.
