It’s no secret that North Vancouver has what it takes to make Christmas memorable. From Christmas attractions and holiday parades, to mid-winter festivals and seasonal family activities, North Vancouver never disappoints when it comes to offering holiday cheer. Here are events to help you get the most out of this Christmas season.

Santa In Space

Vileun, an evil alien with all the wrong intentions, has managed to bring all the other planets to their knees – all but one, earth. With the help of her three wicked accomplices (Astra, Null, and Void), Vileun kidnaps Santa Claus and earthlings are left with no other choice but to surrender. It’s up to Captain Dick Daring and company to save Santa. Will they save the man with a red suit and white beard? Find out what happens at the Deep Cove Stage Society on December 19th, 2018.

Stanley Park Bright Night Christmas Train

Stanley Park’s Bright Night Christmas Train shines brightly at this time of year. There will be live performers along the train’s route, and the three million twinkling lights will offer a breathtaking lights display. Part of ticket sales and donations will go towards a fund that has helped burn survivors and their dear ones since 1998. Starting from November 29th, 2018 to January 5th, 2019, there will be plenty of fun for the whole family.

North Vancouver Community Band

There is no better way to get into Christmas cheer than with holiday music at the market. Enjoy a great shopping experience as you listen to wonderful melodies by the North Vancouver Community Band. You will be glad to know that the market will remain open until 8 pm. Take full advantage of the extended shopping hours and enjoy the music in the Rotunda come December 20th, 2018.

North Pole Visit – Grouse Mountain

Experience the whimsical wonderland Grouse Mountain creates when it transforms into the North Pole. What is more, getting to there is easy as a duck takes to water given that it’s a stone throw from north of Vancouver. Featuring a gingerbread village, light walks, outdoor ice skating, sledding, and sleigh rides, Grouse Mountain is the perfect definition of a remarkable winter wonderland. Rogers Santa Claus Parade

This is perhaps the only holiday attraction that lasts a single day in Vancouver. It’s no wonder many view it as a not-to-miss event. The festive floats, dance troupes, community groups, and numerous marching bands explain why people come out in their numbers to witness this parade make its way through downtown Vancouver.
