Extensive full home renovation. Three bedrooms, three and a half bathrooms, plus a flop room and office. Craftsman-style interior finishes, with custom tiled bathrooms inspired by the clients’ previous California home. A completely re-imagined interior layout which incorporated moving the kitchen downstairs, converting the original living room into a master suite and flop room, as well as significant structural alterations to create an entirely open concept main floor. Centred in the open concept main floor is a craftsman-style feature staircase, which is open below, and open to two new skylights in the top floor ceiling above. New windows and skylights, and a thoughtfully planned window layout maximize the stunning ocean views and allow for unobstructed natural light throughout the main living areas. Hand-scraped hickory floors provide warmth and texture in the bedrooms and main living spaces. Significant air sealing and insulation upgrades throughout, as well as a new heat pump system drastically improve the comfort and energy efficiency of the home through all seasons.
