The Black-Owned Holiday Market will be held at Exhibition Place on December 8, and it provides you with the perfect place to finish your holiday shopping while supporting an excellent cause. All are welcome at this festive market that brings black-owned businesses together in one location. In addition to shopping, you can enjoy delicious food, drinks and even live entertainment throughout the event. The event starts at noon and concludes at 9 p.m. Proceeds are donated to a children’s charitable organization.
All Is Calm, All Is Bright
At Trinity-St. Paul’s United Church and Centre for Faith, a special seasonal service will be held at 7:30pm on December 8. All Is Calm, All Is Bright features a message of hope and peace that celebrates the spontaneous armistice that occurred on Christmas Eve in 1914 during World War I. This special day was celebrated by holiday songs on both sides of battle lines, and some of these same songs will be sung at this event. Bring canned food donations to support the local food bank.
12 Beers of Christmas
Head to the Gladstone Hotel on December 22 for the popular 12 Beers of Christmas party. Dress in your favorite Christmas sweater, and be ready to party when you arrive at 6 p.m. Your admission includes 12 beer samples from local breweries as well as live music, karaoke and plenty of dancing. Local breweries will be represented, and they offer additional beer for purchase as desired. This fun event has been a sellout previously, so make an advance ticket purchase today to ensure that you do not miss out on the festivities.
Majestic NYE 2019 at Fairmont Royal York
Spend New Year’s Eve at the Fairmont Royal York for the Majestic NYE 2019 party. This promises to be one of the hottest events in the Toronto area this New Year’s Eve, and over 3,000 attendees are expected. The party will span across multiple ballrooms in the hotel, and it features six DJs, live musical performances, dinner, wine and burlesque-style dance performances.
