Collingwood Classical Christmas Concert with the Quintessence Ensemble

On December 7 at 7 p.m., the musical trio known as Quintessence will perform at First Baptist Collingwood in nearby Collingwood. The trio, who are also known as the Cacciacarro sisters, has been classically trained on the violin and cello. They will perform for an hour, and the show features traditional and European Christmas carols in Latin, English and French. After the performance, attendees are invited to attend a catered reception with the musicians.

The Night Market

If you still have a few gifts left to buy for family and friends, you will not want to miss the Night Market at the Tangle Creek Golf & Country Club in nearby Thornton. This event runs from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on December 11, and it includes booths from more than 30 vendors. In addition to shopping for gifts with these vendors, you can enjoy light entertainment as well as complimentary appetizers and a glass of champagne. Proceeds from ticket sales benefit Seasons Centre for Grieving Children.

Yule Love: Featuring the Toronto Mass Choir

Another fabulous musical event that your whole family will love is Yule Love at Harvest Bible Chapel in Barrie. It takes place on December 14 at 8 p.m. The famous Toronto Mass Choir, which has been delighting audiences in the area for more than 30 years, will perform numerous holiday classics. The group puts its own spin on its songs through its blend of Caribbean, Latin, jazz and gospel sounds. Ticket sales are limited, and profits benefit the Salvation Army Bayside Mission.

Christmas Eve in Midland

On December 23, Connexus Church hosts a religious service at the Midland Cultural Centre in neighboring Midland. This event begins at 7 p.m., and it brings the story of Christmas to life in a unique and memorable way. Childcare service is available on-site for children ages 3 and under. A special gift will be provided to children between the ages of 4 and 10. Mention children’s ages when ordering tickets.
