Shalom, Pacem, Peace
Head to the Yarrow United Mennonite Church on December 9 for the Shalom, Pacem, Peace concert. The church’s choir will join the Fraser Valley Children’s Chorus, the Yarrow String Quartet and UP! To spread Christmas joy through the power of song. This event is part of World Choir Day, and it will feature a few sing-along carols as well. The concert begins at 3 p.m., and refreshments will be provided after the concert.
Laughing All the Way!
Let loose with comedic performances that will leave you rolling in the aisles at Laughing All the Way! This event brings you performances from Bone Hampton, Dan Taylor and Leland Klassen at Northview Community Church in nearby Abbotsford. Shows are held between December 13 and 16. During the show, you can enjoy coffee, tea and snacks.
Songs, Strings & Steps Presents “An Irish Christmas”
Also in nearby Abbotsford, you can be entertained by Irish music and dancers at the Gateway Christian Reformed Church. Three events are planned between December 14 and 15. Some of the groups that will be performing include the Abbotsford Youth Orchestra, The Alumni Project and the Steel School of Irish. This is a festive event that includes carols, dancing fiddlers, festive costumes and more.
New Year’s Eve 2019 Fire & Ice Gala
Dress in formal attire for the elegant NYE 2019 Fire & Ice Gala at the Quality Hotel & Conference Centre. This event begins at 6 p.m. on December 31, and it features a huge buffet dinner, door prizes, a fire dance performance, live musical entertainment, a cash bar, a DJ and champagne toast. This extravaganza is the perfect way to ring in the new year.
JRGAD New Year’s Eve 2019 Celebration
The JRGAD New Year’s Eve 2019 Celebration is another exciting event that will take you into the new year in style. This party begins at 6 p.m. on December 31 and will be held at Townhall Abbotsford. Tickets for a four-course dinner, a champagne toast, snacks and party favors are available. You will be entertained by a DJ, and there will be a countdown with confetti cannons at midnight.
