If you were to ask me what is the one thing that I love most about our home, I have a difficult time trying to pick one. Especially since we built this home ourselves and I can definitely tell you that blood, sweat, and tears went into this home. However, I believe I can say that it’s the open concept of our entertaining area that I love most. Our kitchen, living room, and dining room are all one large spacious room, not only that but we vaulted the ceilings in this space and added two gorgeous dormers. Having the open concept allows us to entertain our friends and family yet still lets us continue to be part of the party whether we are getting dinner ready in the kitchen, cleaning up after dinner, or getting some drink ready for our guests.

We all know that the kitchen is one of the key features of any home especially when you have custom cabinets and you want to be able to enjoy them, by having that open concept you get to do exactly that. Whether you’re lounging around in the living room or having a hot cup of coffee in the morning at the dinning room table the gorgeous kitchen is always in sight.

The room that we spend the most time in is definitely our living room, making it my favourite room. The oversized fireplace and beautiful rock work going to ceiling catches your eye as soon as you walk in. There has been so much laughter in this room, whether it’s from the conversations we’ve had with our friends or silly things that my two children have done, it’s a room that is filled with much joy. Being a father of two and a husband to an amazing wife, any time that I get to spend with them is a blessing, considering that every day seems to get busier than the last. I know many more memories will be made and I look forward to them, whether it’s going to be ones filled with more laughter or tears, I know that every moment shapes us into who we are.
