Alair Homes Barrie

First off I like to start out with Barrie & Area is loaded with tons of fun stuff to do, especially for the kids and the kid at heart parents. We though it would be a great start to the summer to highlight some of those places.

1 – Brand New to Barrie is the Splash Floating Waterpark, link to the news press

This is the first in the province, and consists of obstacle courses, slides, trampolines to keep the kids entertained, it will hold 100 people at a time and is set to Open June 25th, 7 days a week from 10 am to 8 pm

2- Treetop Trekking – Outdoor adventure park, this is an aerial obstacle course and zip line park, for those adventure lovers this is one attraction you must do, it is a great bonding exercise and your kids will be exhillerated.

3 – Happy Go Fishing – Barrie being situated on Lake Simcoe offers some of the best fishing in the province, and there are great operators out there who ensure you have a great fun filled day on the water – No Gear or Experience Required, its not a day of fishing it’s a day of catching

4 – Ice Fishing – I know I just said Fishing above, but no better way of spending a day with your Kids on a frozen lake, in a comfortable heated Ice Hut, Bear Point Fish Huts will ensure your safety is put first, and if you get bored, they have daily pizza and wing delivery right to your hut.

5 – Ridge Runner Mountain Coaster – This is a great summer activity at neigbouring Blue Mountain Village, this coaster glides across mountain terrain reaching speeds of up to 42 mph, then when your kids are back at the hotel, the parents can sneak off for some of the best fine dining in the area.

6 – Barrie Hill Farms – This is a great place to take the kids with some of the best Pick Your Own Berries in Southern Ontario, they offer Strawberries, Raspberries, Blueberries, pumpkins and more. The best time to visit is from late June for 2-3 weeks for the best berries. Stop in and buy some, or take the wagon out the the fieleds and pick them yourself, it’s a great healthy outing.
