Between noon and 9 p.m., many black-owned businesses will join together at Exhibition Place to provide you with a memorable shopping experience that supports a good cause. Your afternoon and evening can be spent shopping and being entertained by live performances. Food and drink are available, and proceeds support a children’s charitable organization.
All Is Calm, All Is Bright
The holiday season is a time to come together for celebration and to enjoy peace on Earth. In 1914 on Christmas Eve, soldiers fighting in World War I on both sides of the battle lines mutually set aside their weapons for a day of peace. This armistice day was spontaneous and developed as holiday songs were sung by those from different cultures. At Trinity-St. Paul’s United Church and Centre for Faith on December 8, attend the All Is Calm, All Is Bright service to celebrate this important day of peace through song and service. This event begins at 7:30 p.m. Canned food donations will be collected and donated to a food drive association.
12 Beers of Christmas
Share good times with your best friends at the 12 Beers of Christmas Party on December 22. This event is held at Gladstone Hotel and begins at 6 p.m. Attendees will enjoy music, dancing, merriment, karaoke and samples of 12 beers from local reputable breweries. Additional beer can be purchased on-site. Adding to the fun, attendees are asked to dress in their gaudiest Christmas sweaters. The 12 Beers of Christmas party is a popular annual event that has sold out previously. Purchase tickets today to ensure your admission to the party.
Majestic NYE 2019 at Fairmont Royal York
If you are looking for an incredible New Year’s Eve party to attend, head to the Fairmont Royal York in Toronto for the Majestic NYE 2019 party. This event may draw more than 3,000 partygoers, and it will be held across multiple ballrooms in the hotel. In addition to enjoying dinner and wine with your admission, you can also be entertained by DJ music, live music, burlesque dancers and other fun events.
