Video Transcript: Hi I’m Kerri, I work for the Richmond Animal Hospital, I am a technician in the back, basically an animal nurse in the back. What I like about my job is helping patients when they come in here ill, and then seeing them leave and they are happy and their clients are happy. Just knowing we were able to help them, and do that for them that’s what I really love about my job.

And I’m Miranda, I work at the Richmond Animal Hospital to. I work reception, my favorite part obviously is seeing the puppies and kittens. But definitely seeing the full circle of when patients come in and we are able to help them and get them out the door on a positive note. When the project is finally complete, we are definitely looking forward to having more space to treat the animals. Right now we have a very small treatment area in the back, we are a busy clinic, lots of patients, lots of doctors, lots of staff. It gets a little tight, we are definitely looking forward to having a more modern look, more space and just so we can make the animals as more comfortable as we can.

I’m Mike Shofly, I am the owner of Richmond Animal Hospital. We have Alair Homes doing our major renovation revamping our hospital pretty much entirely, for about 4 months now. The owner of the company, as well as the tradesman have been pleasant and easy to deal with, very professional, everyone is always very professional. Willing to have a little fun, we like to have fun here while we work we try not to exclude them. What I like about my job is its very broad, I have many different tasks, every day is unpredictable and that adds to excitement and fun. It’s challenging in many ways, mentally challenging, physically challenging, emotionally challenging at times but rewarding in all those ways as well. Some of the challenges that we face is that this is a 60-year-old building and a lot of stuff was hidden in multiple ceilings, brick walls and some places like that. So sometimes we find things that were not expected. Challenges have been able to be overcome so far, we may have to take a little time to think, so far Alair has been on demand to come up with a solution.
