When Will It Take Place?

This event will take place from April 22, 2016 until April 24, 2016. The 20-minute school and corporate makeover will take place on April 22. The community clean up days will be April 23 and April 24.

How Can I Participate?

It is very easy for you to participate in this event. You will need to gather a group of people together, and you all can clean up the playgrounds, beaches, sport fields, and trails. The City of Toronto will provide you with recycling bags. They can also coordinate waste removal for you. The goal is to have 175,000 participants this year.

You will need to wear the appropriate clothing. You should also put on sunscreen and bring a first aid kit to the event. Avoid picking up dangerous things, such as medical waste, chemicals, and metals. Call 311 and report these items. When you are close to the road, you should watch out for vehicles. Additionally, you should avoid picking up plants, twigs, and leaves.
